Champagne Brut Grande Cuvee 169eme Edition 75 cl Krug
KrugThe Grande Cuvee di Krug is confirmed every year at the qualitative top of the denomination. The 169eme edition is composed of 43% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 22% Pinot Meunier and is based on the 2013 harvest. It is refined in the cellars of the maison for at least 6 years. The nose is always amazed by the elegance of the aromas, clear and intense but always very fine, with fruity and mineral notes alongside toasted hints; also on the palate it maintains this precision, a champagne that never disappoints.
Krug Champagne Brut Grande Cuvée is an artist who performs for those who want to listen to it, in this case to taste.
The Krug family has always wanted to offer a sparkling wine that is the result of great exercise and precision; this, in particular, represents the basic idea that certain hierarchies are not needed to be special or top-level: specialty is a feature as such, you have it right away!
It is not just any cuvée, but a Krug Champagne. Zero classifications. Success, class and nobility: the bubble that conquered critics, produced by one of the largest fashion houses in the world. The Grande Cuvée is the result of alchemy and relationship.
The Krug is made up of 120 basic wines from over ten different years that the Maison wisely ages and stops in the splendid galleries of the cellar. The Chardonnay of the Côte des Blancs is the absolute protagonist, accompanied by Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The soul of this wine is due to the selection of the base wines of the best crus and the best vintages which, once assembled, give an unmistakable and harmonious body, defined by the maison as "the purest expression of nature".
Referments in the bottle according to the champenoise method and rest on the lees for 6 years. A story that goes beyond all boundaries!
At sight the Krug Grande Cuvée is golden yellow, with a very fine and persistent perlage. The nose reveals notes of ripe fruit with floral notes and hints of honey, almonds, gingerbread, sweet spices and marzipan. It envelops the palate in width and depth, an enchanting and sharp freshness emerges, stings with citrus hints and enhances the most complex sensations thanks to its fine and elegant perlage.
Liquid emotion, poetry in bubbles. Uniqueness and diversity!
