Ornello Maremma 2016 75 cl Rocca di Frassinello
Rocca di FrassinelloOrnello 2016 is a full, intense and elegant red wine with particular balsamic notes and the aroma of coffee.
The Ornello Rocca di Frassinello 2016 is a red wine from the Tuscan Maremma. The name affibbiatogli pays homage to the Maremma shepherd on horseback, symbol of these lands, who carries the Ornello with him, the name of the pointed stick with which the shepherd directs his cattle.
This red comes from the union of 40% Sangiovese and three international grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon 40%, Merlot 20% and Syrah 20%, vines that find an ideal climate in this area of the Maremma.
The vineyards are located 90 meters above sea level and grow on medium-textured soil rich in skeleton and clay.
The grape harvest takes place during the first half of September. The fermentation in steel lasts 20 days before moving on to malolactic fermentation and finally an aging in French barriques for 6 months and another 5 months in bottle.
Finally, it presents itself with its intense ruby red, with balsamic notes and the aroma of roasted coffee. In the mouth the soft and velvety tannin is perceived, the addition of Syrah grapes give it fullness and richness keeping it elegant and fresh, typical characteristics of Tocca di Frassinello wines.
