Flaccianello della Pieve, among the Sangiovese symbol of Chianti, is an organic red wine from the Fontodi winery.

The vineyards of the Fontodi winery are located in the Tuscan town of Panzano in Chianti, where the Manetti family has grown their company with passion and attention to the quality of their products. Their particular attention goes to the Sangiovese vines, which they care with particular devotion, to bring out all its potential.

The naturalistic and sustainable principles of the Fontodi company have led to the creation of fertilizers for its vines with a compost of pruning residues and Chianine manure raised within the company. In this way they guarantee better wines, of great quality and a better expression of the territory.

The Flaccianello della Pieve is one of the examples that derive from this organic farming with low environmental impact.

Its grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected to guarantee the best quality, they are subsequently left to ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts with the aim of maximizing the expression of the territory. Maceration takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for at least 3 weeks. Malolactic fermentation in barriques, and as a last step, aging in Troncais and Allier barriques for 24 months.

The Flaccianello della Pieve Colli Toscana Centrale IGT has an intense ruby ​​red color, delighting the nose with intense aromas of wild berries, blackberries and cherries. In the mouth it is harmonious, intense and structured which ends with a long persistent finish.
