Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG "Albareda" 2016 75 cl Mamete Prevostini
Mamete PrevostiniSforzato di Valtellina Albareda by Mamete Prevostini, an extremely full-bodied and intense wine, fragrant and with a strong taste, aged for 20 months in oak barrels, excellent to combine with meat dishes and aged cheeses. Perfect as a meditation wine.
Albareda Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG, a great red wine from the Mamete Prevostini company, intense and full-bodied.
Produced from Nebbiolo grapes coming exclusively from the Grumello and Sassella subzones which are dried until mid-January and then selected at the sorting table; here the attention to detail is at the highest level and the grapes that are not perfectly intact or affected by mold are eliminated.
After a delicate destemming, the grapes, lightly pressed, are sent to the stainless steel tanks where the alcoholic fermentation takes place with 21 days of maceration of the skins on the must at a temperature of 25 ° C. After pressing, the wine carries out the malolactic fermentation in barrels of oak in which the refinement continues for about 20 months. Before being put on the market, the wine is aged in the bottle for a further 10 months.
The Sforzato or Sfurzat di Valtellina (as it is called in the local dialect) Albareda Mamete Prevostini, has a dark garnet red color with orange reflections. The scent is spicy with hints of red fruits in alcohol, raisins and dried roses. Warm, full and vigorous flavor, soft and round with pronounced sensations of jam.
Albareda is a wine of great body but also of great finesse.
It goes beautifully with game, roasts, game, cured meats, braised meats, stews, hard and aged cheeses such as Bitto, a typical Valtellina cheese. Also perfect as a meditation wine.
