In the municipality of Novello there is the splendid Ravera hill, from where the Nebbiolo grapes used to produce this Barolo Ravera Vietti come from. Long macerations and refinements in large oak barrels, for a wine that amazes for its elegance and refinement. The nose ranges from hints of violet and red fruit to notes of chalk and white pepper. A tense and vibrant acidity stands out on the palate accompanied by integrated and compact tannins. It requires a few hours of oxygenation before being drunk.

The Barolo DOCG Ravera of the Vietti company is a precise and elegant red wine, which comes from Nebbiolo grapes.

The Ravera single vineyard is located in the municipality of Novello, with 4900 plants per hectare between 5 and 60 years of age. Ravera di Novello is a fabulous hill with south-west exposure, with limestone-clayey soil. The production is 20 hl per hectare.

Barolo Ravera spends 34 days in steel tanks, 5 days of pre-fermentation cold maceration, alcoholic fermentation, then a long post-fermentation maceration at a temperature between 30/32 ° C. Daily pumping over in the air with the application of an ancient system called "submerged hat". Slow Malolactic in large barrels, until late spring. The wine therefore remains for more than a year on the lees of the malolactic fermentation without sulfur.

The aging of Barolo Ravera Vietti foresees 32 months in large traditional oak barrels and bottled without filtration in July 2015.

Ravera is a wine with an intense garnet red color. Very classic and traditional with a robust structure and intense tannins. The bouquet in its youth still closed with light notes of yeast but in the glass it opens slowly with spicy and mentholated notes. In the finish, the powerful structure and concentration soften the tannic potential.
