Among the various Etna crus, Calderara Sottana is the most complete one, which gives wide and deep wines, able to excite even after 20 or 30 years. The vineyards of Nerello are very old, reaching even 100 years, and the bunches are few but of exceptional quality. Aromatic floral and fruity nuances emerge on the nose followed by mineral, resinous and almost iodized notes; rich also on the palate, with a unique balance and a very long persistence.
