Brunello di Montalcino DOCG "Campo del Drago" 2016 75 cl Castiglion del Bosco
Castiglion del BoscoCampo del Drago Castiglion del Bosco is a Brunello of Montalcino Cru and comes from the most precious parcel of the Capanna vineyard: one and a half hectares located at 450 meters above sea level. with the best exposure. A cool climate and a greater temperature range make it a Sangiovese of extreme finesse, always maintaining the typical power of the Montalcino terroir.
The important presence of galestro makes the wine extremely complex and long-lived, with well-present and soft tannins.
The Brunello Campo del Drago vinifies for 20-25 days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C with prolonged maceration. Aging lasts 24 months in French oak barriques and 30-50 hl barrels, ending after 6 months in non-vitrified concrete.
Campo del Drago is a Brunello with great personality and structure, with a dense and bright ruby red color. In the mouth it has a nice acidity that supports and enhances it.
Dark fruit, blackberry, raspberry and cherry are the most intense aromas, followed by a note of tobacco and graphite. On the palate Campo del Drago is impetuous, well structured, enriched by silky tannins that give great drink.
