Rosso "A.D. 1212" 2018 75 cl Decugnano dei Barbi
Decugnano dei BarbiOnly the best grapes of the Decugnano dei Barbi estate are used to create this Rosso "A.D. 1212".
It comes from a blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Montepulciano, whose grapes are harvested from mid-September to mid-October, depending on the variety.
After a careful selection, the grapes are placed in steel tanks to macerate for about 2 weeks at a controlled temperature of 24 ° C. Then follows the refinement 2/3 in steel and 1/3 in new French oak barrels to 12 months; once assembled it completes the refinement in the bottle for 6 months.
The result is the red wine A.D. 1212 Decugnano dei Barbi, which has developed characteristics of elegance and refinement, which already stand out on the nose with notes of red fruit and black pepper, linked to balsamic and aromatic herbs. On the palate it manages to combine a great pleasure to drink with an important structure, where the richness of Montepulciano emerges which gives power and exuberance to the sip.
