Montebuono 2014 75 cl Lino Maga
Maga LinoMontebuono Lino Maga is the red wine icon of Oltrepò Pavese. Called the "Napoleon's Wine".
"Produced on the hill of Montebuono in Broni. After the battle of Marengo, Napoleon stopped in Broni, drank it, found it excellent: since then the hill has also been called Monte Napoleone" (back label)
A blend of Ughetta, Croatina, Uva rara and Barbera grapes, it undergoes spontaneous fermentation in oak barrels and maceration for 7/9 days, the refinement lasts 7 to 8 months on the fine lees.
Montebuono di Lino Maga shows its notes of red fruit and black pepper, with an interesting rustic touch which, however, releases its juicy personality and well-balanced tannins in the mouth.
It likes at least an hour of fresh air before being savored, accompanied by a nice platter of cold cuts and cheeses or a second course of meat.
