Il Grigio is a Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva from the Tuscan winery San Felice. A red Sangiovese wine with a territorial taste: intense, harmonious, balanced and very aromatic, with good freshness and softness.
The Chianti Classico Riserva "Il Grigio" of San Felice is a Tuscan red wine that comes from vineyards located in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga.
This Chianti Classico Il Grigio is the flagship label of the San Felice winery and is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes.
The harvest takes place on the splendid Tuscan hills in the first half of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature (28-30 ° C) for 18-20 days. Subsequently, a part of the wine (80%) ages in Slavonian oak barrels for about 24 months, while another part (20%) in French barriques for 6 months. The refinement ends after another 6 months in the bottle.
Il Grigio Riserva San Felice is characterized by an intense ruby red colour. The nose reveals a fragrant bouquet of violets and wild berries. On the palate it is full-bodied, austere and very harmonious.
Perfect to accompany grilled red meats and roasts, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
