Coniale 2017
Coniale 2017 Toscana IGT is a pure Cabernet Sauvignon elegant and excellent expression of the territory. Wine of great structure and longevity that is produced from grapes from the "Coniale" vineyard located in the municipality of Radda in Chianti. After vinification in steel, its maturation begins in oak barrels for 18 months and ends after 10 months in the bottle.
Intense ruby red wine with purple hues, opens to the nose with hints of red berry fruit and spices. The scents are intense and complex of red fruits, plums and dates combined with floral notes of violets and rose hips. In the mouth it is warm, soft, intense and velvety, with fine, silky tannins and well blended in the structure. The finish is long and persistent with a fruity aftertaste.
It goes well with roasts, and red meats, game and aged cheeses.
I Sodi di S. Niccolò 2017
I Sodi di C. Niccolò 40 Vendemmie is the Supertusca of Casellare in Castellina. A wine based on Sangioveto and Malvasia Nero, two indigenous varieties of Chianti Classico. From the first harvest, which took place in 1977, there have been another 40 and the Sodi di S. Niccolò, in honor of this important anniversary, changes its appearance, coloring the label with the bird black. A refined label that pays homage to a wine that has marked the history of Italian enology.
In the S. Niccolò vineyard, the harvest begins in mid-October. After the vinification in steel and the malolactic fermentation, the wine rests in barrique for 24/30 months and in the bottle for 12 months.
I Sodi di S. Niccolò has an intense ruby red color which on the nose is expressed in its notes of ripe red fruits, spices, vanilla and licorice. In the mouth the wine is characterized by a dense and elegant texture, also supported by the important acidity of Sangiovese, the tannins are sweet and the finish is long and persistent.
Excellent to combine with cured meats and savory meats, and savory and aged cheeses, especially with Tuscan Pecorino and Parmesan.
Poggio ai merli 2019
Poggio ai Merli is a pure Merlot with an excellent and rare personality, with a great evolutionary potential.
The harvest of Poggio ai Merli takes place in early September. The vinification is carried out in steel, followed by malolactic fermentation and aging in new French barriques for 24-30 months, ending in the bottle after 12 months, before being put on the market.
Poggio ai Merli is an intense and lively ruby red, limpid, brilliant and with a beautiful consistency. The nose is complex and the hints of black fruit clearly prevail: raspberry, morello cherry, blackberry and plum, followed by toasted notes of cocoa, vanilla and coffee. The mouth is soft and enveloping, with fine and elegant tannins. A balanced wine with a very long aromatic finish.
Easy to combine with red meats. In particular, it is excellent accompanied by liver and wild boar.
