Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru 2017 75 cl Armand Rousseau
Rousseau ArmandClos de Beze is one of the most important vineyards in the world, with an almost millennial history behind it; we are in Burgundy, in the village of Gevrey Chambertin and this wine, 100% Pinot Noir, is a real nectar, produced only by Armand Rousseau who owns the Clos de Beze in monopoly. Tasting is a sensorial experience, the aromas are indescribable and will certainly leave you speechless; it is one of those wines to try at least once in a lifetime.
Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru Armand Rousseau is a red wine with a very ancient history.
The monks of the Abbey of Bèze owned the place called Clos de Bèze in Gevrey-Chambertin. In 630 Amalgaire, Duke of Lower Burgundy, had given them some lands to Gevrey-Chambertin. They reclaimed them and planted vines in what would later become Clos de Bèze.
The grapes are divided into two plots. A vineyard is located mid-slope on scree rich in limestone from the Lower Bajocian and Bajocian marls. The other at its summit, where the vine grows on Bathonian clayey limestones.
Clos de Bèze is often described as Chambertin's female alter ego. Represents the elegance and finesse of Gevrey-Chambertin.
It is a complex wine, with an intense color and great length in the mouth. The aromatic palette is very rich and delicate with a dominant of small black fruits and oriental spices. A velvety wine with finesse.
