"Forty" The Balvenie is the result of the assembly of whiskeys aged in American oak barrels and ex-Sherry European oak barrels for at least 40 years. Master Distiller David C. Stewart used some of the rarest casks to make this extraordinary single malt whiskey.

The degree of bottling at 48.5% helps to release all the characteristics of Balvenie 40 with notes of honey and orange jam for a nose that continues to find nuances of wood and vanilla.

In the mouth the wood is a very present element followed by hints of sherry and candied ginger to close with a rich, elegant finish of vanilla and citrus and honey.
