Of all the Elements of Islay, Octomore is certainly the most peaty; distilled in 2011 and aged for more than 8 years in ex Bourbon barrels, it is characterized by dense and smoky notes, accompanied by citrus and iodized hints. Bottled cask strenght at 58.1 °. On the palate it is vigorous and enveloping, with a peppery and slightly spicy note that gives it great persistence.
