The Phoenicians introduced Aglianico into Italy from Greece and in particular from Euboea, several centuries BC. From this Antico Vitigno a wine is produced which was also praised by Pope Paul III.
The Aglianico Riserva Contado of the Di Majo Norante company is a wine that has a ruby red color with a slight orange reflection, a vinous, full and intense bouquet with hints of ripe fruit. Soft and velvety, it is very harmonious, with a good body, rightly tannic, with hints of almond.
Contado Aglianico Riserva Molise DOC goes well with savory foods, pasta dishes, game, meats and cheeses.
