Bottaz is a red wine made from refosco grapes, one of the ancient grapes of Friuli, originally called Racimulus Fuscus

The Refosco grape is very tannic and due to the cold climate of the "Bottaz" vineyard requires a very delicate maceration to avoid green extractions and obtain more elegance and lasts about 20 days. It rests 2 years in barrique and is bottled without filtration.

Refosco Bottaz Venica is a warm and spicy wine, the long aging weakens the tannic sensation giving a persuasive and velvety sip, without renouncing its typical rustic character and with a savory and fresh finish.

To remain in the Friulian tradition, try it in combination with a frico with onions.
