Prima Pietra is a red wine based on Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Characterized by an excellent structure, elegance and balance, it is an extremely long-lived wine.
Toscana IGT Prima Pietra from Tenuta Prima Pietra is an elegant and balanced Tuscan red wine, with excellent longevity, great refinement and excellent structure.
Made up of 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot, its vineyards are located in Riparbella, in the province of Pisa, 450 meters above sea level and the soils are rich in stone and clay ferrous.
Prima Pietra spends 20 days in steel and concrete vats at a controlled temperature of 28°C, separately for each grape variety. The refinement lasts 18 months in 50% new French oak barriques. For the first 10 months each variety refines individually, then the blend is created and the refinement will continue for another 8 months.
Prima Pietra Tenuta Prima Pietra has a bright and brilliant colour, it brings to the nose a broad and persistent aroma with crunchy and deep fragrances of red berries, refreshed by a pleasant balsamic finish. In the mouth it is refined, elegant and complex, silky on the palate with great persistence. Velvety and balanced tannins.
