Le Macchiole Bolgheri Rosso is a red wine that identifies the purest and most direct expression of Bolgheri according to the Le Macchiole company.
This wine was born from a well-defined project right from the vineyard: the grapes used to produce it come from a series of precisely identified parcels, mainly belonging to the youngest vineyards.
The varieties used are Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
The harvest, vinification and refinement were designed to produce a Bolgheri DOC which comes from the tradition of the Bordeaux blend typical of our area, but shows itself with original and distinctive traits.
Fermentation and maceration take place in steel for 15 days, refinement is prolonged for 10 months, 70% in 225/228 liter barriques of 3rd and 4th passage and 30% in concrete.
Bolgheri Le Macchiole is a fresh, complex and intense but easily appreciable wine.
