Inspired by the great chateaus of Bordeaux, in 2017 Tenuta Masseto came out with the "second vin", the Massetino

We have now reached the third vintage produced, 2019. It is a blend of 94% Merlot and 6% Cabernet franc obtained from plots not yet so mature as to be included in the Masseto.

Vinified in steel with a spontaneous fermentation, it then ages 12 months in barrique and a short period in the bottle.

The Massetino 2019 is the result of an overall very good vintage, with aromas of red fruit on a background of sweet spices and tobacco. On the palate it is pure elegance, each component is perfectly integrated and guarantees a harmonious sip that will remain impressed for a long time.
