The Bollinger R.D. 2008 is composed of 71% Pinot Noir and 29% Chardonnay from 18 Crus: mainly Aÿ and Verzenay for the Pinot Noir and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Cramant for the Chardonnay.
The fermentation takes place entirely in oak barrels and the aging on the yeasts lasts 14 long years. Bollinger R.D. it is ready to be put on the market a few months after disgorgement, with an extra brut dosage of 3 grams per liter. The decision to market this bottle of R.D.
