Solaia 2012 3lt Antinori
AntinoriSolaia 2012 Antinori, in the Jeroboam format, preserved in its wooden box.
Solaia is one of the most famous wines in the world, the flagship product of the Antinori family. Produced only in exceptional years!
It was born in the heart of classic Chianti, from the vineyard of the same name which is located on the best hill of Tenuta Tignanello and is made up of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Franc. Only the perfect grapes are selected. The malolactic fermentation took place in barriques. The refinement in new French oak barrels lasted 18 months, first each variety separated and then assembled.
For Solaia, 2012 began with a regular winter, with a dry cold that continued into spring, delaying bud break. Rain followed in the following months, which was important to cope with a hot and dry summer. The rainfall at the end of August allowed the bunches to complete ripening and be ready for harvesting in the last week of September.
Solaia Antinori 2012 has a ruby red color with violet reflections. The nose is fresh and intense, characterized by strong varietal notes. The style is classic and in the mouth we find it harmonious with the right acid-tannic balance and excellent enjoyment of the fruit. The great personality and the long presence of aftertaste make the finish absolutely complex and persistent.
This bottle is part of the Antinori reserve, it was put on the market and came to us directly from Tenuta Tignanello in 2023.
