The Macallan Rare Cask 2023 is a single malt scotch whiskey from The Macallan distillery and is produced in a limited edition only with the best barrels selected by The Macallan's team of experts.
Release 2023 has the distinction of having been created in collaboration with the famous Simple Minds musician, Charlie Burchill.
The element that unites the two worlds is certainly wood, the protagonist in this whisky. The wood of musical instruments and the wood of the ex-Sherry barrels in which The Macallan whiskey ages.
Charlie, in fact, created a guitar in collaboration with a luthier from southern Spain, using the same wood used by The Macallan to age the Rare Cask 2023.

The Rare Cask Macallan Release 2023 is a mahogany-coloured, totally natural whisky. The aromas are soft and welcoming, with complex aromas ranging from vanilla to raisins, apples and citrus fruits. On the palate it is rich, velvety and enveloping, with notes of spices and chocolate.
