Gewurztraminer "Kastelaz" Argentum Bonum 2015 75 cl Elena Walch
Elena WalchDon't expect the classic fresh and fragrant Gewurztraminer, "Argentum Bonum" Kastelaz Elena Walch is a wine that will amaze you.
The grapes used to produce this incredible Gewurztraminer all come from a single vineyard located in the municipality of Termeno: Vigna Kastelaz.
The soil is calcareous with clayey parts, an extremely suitable and classic terrain for Gewürztraminer for generations.
Before fermentation, a short maceration on the skins for 6 hours is carried out; it is then vinified in steel and ages for a few months on its lees. After bottling it is taken to an old mine in Val Ridanna at an altitude of 2000 metres, where it rests in the dark and in a cool place for 4 years.
This particular aging process makes Gewurztraminer Argentum Bonum Kastelaz Elena Walch a unique wine, which combines evolving notes of candied fruit and spices with scents of rose and exotic fruit. On the palate it always maintains great freshness and flavor.
Try it with Ramen or spicy fish-based soups.
