Champagne Extra Brut Cuvee 745 "By Teo Kaykay" 75 cl Jacquesson
JacquessonBucking the trend of "standardized" multi-vintage Champagnes, the historic Maison Jacquesson creates the "Les 700" line, which includes expressions with unique personalities such as Cuvée n. 745.
Champagne 745 Jacquesson is the result of a blend of grapes from the 2017 vintage: 57% Chardonnay, grown in the Grand Cru terroir of Azive, 22% Pinot Meunier from the villages of Oiry and Hautviller, and 21% Pinot Noir from Ay and Dizy. The blend is completed with a percentage of "vins de réserve" during the blending process.
The 2017 vintage was initially marked by unusually temperate weather and low rainfall, a situation that continued until April, when several late frosts caused extensive damage to the vines, especially in the Côte des Blancs. Sunny days characterized the summer season, which, coupled with warm weather, saw heavy rainfall toward the end. Harvest took place between September 4th and September 13th.
The production process involves the use of large oak barrels for alcoholic fermentation and subsequent maturation on the fine lees, followed by extensive bottle aging, with no filtration or fining. Disgorgement took place in January 2022, while the very low dosage is 0.75 g/l.
In the glass, Cuvée n.745 displays a straw yellow color whose luminosity is enhanced by golden reflections and an elegant perlage. On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of candied fruit intertwined with citrus sensations and notes of dried fruit, embraced by mineral touches that enrich it with a pleasant complexity. The same complexity is found on the palate, with a sip that strikes an excellent balance between roundness and freshness.
A sparkling wine that pairs perfectly with shellfish dishes as well as fish appetizers and main courses.
This version of Jacquesson's Extra Brut Cuvée n.745 champagne is exclusive thanks to a customized bottle created by renowned Creative Designer Teo KayKay; a revolutionary artist with a style recognized and appreciated worldwide, as well as the first to enter the wine world. Given the high value of his works, each piece comes with a double certificate: the first is attached to the bottle, while the second is in digital format, accessible via blockchain technology.
