Conca tre Pile by Aldo Conterno is a Barbera with character, the grapes come from a slope of the Bussia Soprana hill in the municipality of Monforte d’Alba with vineyards up to 45 years old.
The harvest begins during the first week of October with a selection of grapes already from the vineyard. The grapes are macerated in stainless steel tanks, where it ferments on the skins for about 10 days. Finally it refines in wood for a few months.
Very intriguing on the nose, in addition to the ripe red fruit, notes of leather and tobacco emerge. On the palate, Conca Tre Pile Aldo Conterno is powerful and structured, it is not a simple barbera as an aperitif but requires very tasty dishes: try it with tomini with speck and chives.
