Liu is a slender and fragrant Merlot, produced in the heart of Chianti Classico by the historic Castello dei Rampolla company.

The grapes are harvested when fully ripe and sent to the winemaking process which takes place partly in concrete and partly in terracotta amphorae, where it then remains for 9 months of refinement.

Merlot Liu Castello dei Rampolla is a wine that on the nose expresses the notes of red fruit typical of the vine without ever becoming cooked and jammy; the fragrance of the perfumes is found on the palate, with a fresh and delicate sip, soft and enveloping tannins and a long aromatic persistence.
