Cassetta Vintage 25esimo "Desiderio" 2013 6 x 75 cl Avignonesi

The Merlot Desiderio Avignonesi label, with the iconic figure of a large white Chianina bull, is inspired by the true story of the Desiderio bull, who lived on the estate more than a hundred years ago and considered one of the progenitors of the Chianina breed, typical of the area.

For the first vintages of Merlot Desiderio the label changed slightly every year, adding a different color or a new detail to the original design.

For this special commemorative box, designed for the 25th anniversary of Desiderio, the 2013 vintage was adorned with some of the most beautiful labels of the past. The label with the orange sky is from 1989, while the one with the blue sky is from 1990. The collage labels with olives and the Three Graces are respectively from 1992 and 1993 and the white label dates back to 1996.

Deep red in color, Avignonesi Desiderio 2013 reveals inviting notes of sweet cherries and raspberries, rose petals and aromatic herbs, with subtle hints of menthol, red licorice and chocolate coffee beans. On the palate it is round and intensely fruity with well developed tannins and a deliciously savory aftertaste. A perfect wine to pair with a Florentine steak.
