Sassicaia 2009 75 cl Tenuta S. Guido
Tenuta San GuidoSassicaia DOC is one of the most important red wines in the world. An Italian icon produced by Tenuta San Guido.
The grapes that compose it are: Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The soils on which the vineyards grow are mainly composed of calcareous areas rich in galestro, clay, stones and stones (from which the wine takes its name), and are located at an altitude between 80 and 400 meters above sea level, with exposure to the west / south-west.
Sassicaia 2009 from Tenuta San Guido was influenced by a vintage characterized by an excellent climate throughout the year guaranteeing perfect phenolic ripening of the grapes.
The harvest is carried out entirely by hand from the second week of September, when fully ripe, and ends in the first week of October. Then follows the malolactic fermentation in steel and the refinement in French oak barriques.
The aging of Sassicaia 2009 lasts about 20-25 months in barrique and completes the maturation after a few months in bottle.
