Sancerre Grande Cuvee "Comte Lafond" 2016 75 cl Ladoucette
LadoucetteThe de Ladoucette family has been one of the best-known winemakers in the world for generations. It boasts a range of absolutely excellent and world-renowned wines, universally recognized as the top of French wine production.
In 1787 the Comte Lafond family bought the vineyards of Poully-Fumé, in Chateau du Nozet, in the Loire valley. And today the owner of this historic winery is Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, a direct descendant who over time has expanded the vineyards with the acquisition of additional vineyards.
The Sancerre Blanc Comte Lafond Grande Cuvée de Ladoucette is the result of a rigorous selection of grapes from the best parcels of the historic villages of Sancerre, Bué and Chavignol, all with vines over thirty years old.
This Sancerre Blanc represents the quintessence of the Sauvignon production of the Sancerre area. The vines have an average age of 35 years and are located on clayey and calcareous soils with a south-west exposure.
The Color of Sancerre Blanc Comte Lafond de Ladoucette reveals a beautiful intense, clear and brilliant gold color. The nose is complex, with typical floral scents of Sancerre and spicy aromas. On the palate it is well balanced, soft and elegant, with a mineral vein that gives it freshness, enhancing finesse and lightness.
