"S’Amfora" Podere San Cristoforo is a unique wine of its kind, born from the passion for wine and the sea.
Petit Verdot in purity of the Tuscan Maremma which, after vinification, refines in small handmade clay amphorae, positioned on the bottom of the Tyrrhenian Sea, in front of Grosseto, for about 9 months, the wine is then marketed in the same amphora that made it accompanied during the refinement.
A very innovative process when speaking of red wines, which took 4 years to develop. Method that was inspired by the peoples of the Mediterranean at the time of the Phoenicians, where it was traditional to refine and keep wine in amphora; and to the underwater discoveries of wine, and the surprising state of conservation and freshness that they have maintained over time.
The transformations undergone by the wine are very interesting and the aromatic and gustatory complexity are positively affected!
