Montevertine 2019 75 cl Montevertine
MontevertineMontevertine is a full-bodied, fragrant red wine with excellent evolutionary potential. A splendid expression of Sangiovese Chianti, aged 24 months in oak barrels, is balanced and satisfying, with spicy notes, sweetly fruity with hints of red fruits, and licorice.
Montevertine is a red wine that takes its name from its producing cellar: Montevertine. This surprising red fully pays homage to its territory by enclosing the typical characteristics of the Sangiovese that grows on the Chianti hills.
The grapes that compose it are: Sangiovese 90%, Canaiolo 5% and Colorino 5%, organically grown and certified with the spurred cordon system, on hills at about 400 meters above sea level, facing south, south-east.
The Montevertine harvest is carried out manually, followed by the alcoholic fermentation which lasts 25 days in cement tanks and the malolactic fermentation, again in concrete tanks. Then follows the refinement in Slavonian oak barrels for 24 months, which ends in the bottle for a further 6 months.
This Montevertine red has a ruby red color tending towards garnet. With a refined bouquet rich in spicy hints and sweet notes of red fruits, cherries, raspberries and licorice. Full-bodied on the palate, complex and balanced, with a persistent finish, all to be savored.
