Lucien Le Moine is a nègoce maison born in Beaune in the late 90s; it means that he does not vinify his own grapes but buys them from other producers, which is very common in France. The choice of grapes is very meticulous and only the best end up in the Beaune cellar.
The vinification takes place in the traditional way, with fermentation in steel and aging in barrique for about 2 years.
Clos de Beze is an exceptional wine, probably the best expression of pinot noir in the world, whatever the producer.
Depth and power are the adjectives that best describe it and, if you are lucky enough to taste it, you will be able to confirm it.
