Massimo Abbate is one of the rising stars of Langhe winemaking; the company's vineyards are few and are divided between Neive and Castagnole, for small-scale production.

Barbera is a splendid wine, with a compulsive drinker; after a long maceration it ages for about 15 months in barriques and tonneaux. Unfiltered wine, a small addition of sulfur is made before bottling.
