The Sicilia DOC Perricone Ribeca is the fruit of the decades-long work of recovery of the Perricone relic vine, of which Firriato has selected his own clone.
The company has believed in the qualities of this vine from the Sicilian winemaking tradition that it cultivates on the Pianoro Cuddìa Estate, a place where Perricone has found the best conditions to enhance its character. The Firriato clone interprets the varietal characteristics of a vine that was once widespread and has almost disappeared today.
Perricone Ribeca Firriato is a deep purplish red wine. The nose reveals the complexity of its bouquet which offers delicate tones of blackberry, plum and morello cherry, accompanied by licorice, ginger, cloves and juniper berries. A richness that has no equal and that smells of Sicily.
