Arcione Tunella is a full-bodied and structured red wine produced on the hills of Eastern Friuli.
The vines used to compose this prestigious Arcione are the native Pignolo and Schioppettino, rooted in soils composed of marl and sandstone of Eocene origin, rich in calcium carbonate and minerals.
The harvest takes place manually during the first weeks of October, immediately afterwards the harvested grapes are placed to dry in special boxes, thus obtaining a high concentration of extracts and aromatic substances. The grapes, separated by variety, are then pressed and fermented with maceration of the skins at controlled temperatures, completing their fermentation in 5 hl French oak tonneaux where they remain for approximately four years to guarantee a noble red.
The Rosso Trevenezie Arcione La Tunella completes its refinement in the bottle, at the end of 4 years from the harvest, before being marketed.
In the glass it presents a bright and intense ruby red color enriched with garnet reflections. On the nose and on the palate we find an elegant robustness. At first impact, Arcione Tunella immediately appears imposing, fine and intense, fruity and spicy, with hints of blackcurrant, cherry, balsamic wood, leather and liquorice, enriched on the finish by smoky olfactory notes. In the mouth it is round, of considerable thickness, with tannins that give it a strong, soft and balanced character. The finish is very long and rich in flavor, all to be enjoyed.
