Brunello di Montalcino DOCG "Tenuta Greppo" Riserva 2016 75 cl Biondi Santi
Biondi SantiBiondi Santi's Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Greppo Riserva is one of the most important and iconic of the appellation.
It is produced with only Sangiovese grapes from the oldest vineyards of the Greppo estate only in the most deserving years.
2016 was a hot year with little rain which led to a slow and very balanced maturation of the grapes, with a very high aromatic concentration.
The Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Greppo Riserva 2016 was vinified in vertical Slavonian oak barrels with the use of indigenous yeasts from the estate's vineyards. Aging lasted 36 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
The prominent feature of Brunello del Greppo Biondi Santi Riserva is longevity and even more.
Centenary bottles with perfect wines still rest in the cellars of the estate.
If you are looking for a bottle of your child's year with the intention of drinking it when he comes of age, the Biondi Santi Brunello Tenuta Greppo Riserva is the right choice! An aging gem, it will steadily improve over the next 30 years.
Biondi Santi recommends uncorking and unfilling the bottles a little about 8 hours before tasting.
