Pinot Noir Lafoa Colterenzio is a wine with a strong, elegant character, created on the model of the great Burgundy Pinot Noirs, complex, balanced, persistent and with great aging potential.
The Pinot Nero di Colterenzio vineyards are located at an altitude of approx. 400 m.s.l.m., on soils of morainic origin, composed of porphyritic and dolomitic rocks. These vines are between 15 and 35 years old.
After the alcoholic fermentation in wooden barrels for three weeks, the maceration at a controlled temperature (25-28 °), and the malolactic fermentation, the Pinot Nero Lafoa matures 12 months in new and second passage barriques.
Pinot Nero Lafoa Colterenzio is a ruby red wine, with hints of cherries, raspberries, small red fruits and spices. In the mouth it is intense, full-bodied, with fruity aromas, with soft tannins and acidity in a harmonious combination. The finish is long and elegant. Perfect to accompany white meats, poultry and lamb.
