The Aglianico del Vulture Superiore Serpara Terre degli Svevi is represented by the symbol of the imperial black eagle of Swabia and its name derives from "place of snakes", so called due to the exceptional exposure which makes the climate very mild even in the most cold of the year.

Serpara Terre degli Svevi comes from the best grapes grown on the old vines of the small vineyard of 6 hectares (3 of which are 40 years old), in hilly terrain of volcanic origin at 550 m above sea level in the municipality of Maschito.

Powerful and imperious, Serpara Terre degli Svevi is vinified alone, it ages in French Allier barriques which dominate the power of Aglianico making it warm and velvety, with notes of vanilla, candied fruit and thyme.
