Aglianico del Molise "Militium Christi" Riserva 2012 75 cl Cianfagna
Az. agricola CianfagnaMilitum Christi Cianfagna was born from Vincenzo's passion for Aglianico but in a completely original version. It comes in the bottle only as a reserve.
This Aglianico del Molise is a wine for "amateurs", demanding already from its appearance.
Its label is a gold-coloured, embossed aluminum seal and Militum Christi is Latin for the militia of Christ. The seal has Templar origins and depicts two men on a horse.
The Aglianico del Molise Riserva Militum Christi Cianfagna is produced starting from a manual harvest and traditional fermentation with maceration on the skins for about 2 weeks, followed by a spontaneous malolactic fermentation. It matures in steel for 20-30 months, followed by a passage in French oak tonneaux for 6 months and then rests in the bottle for another 4-6 months.
Militum Christi Cianfagna is an intense ruby red wine. Intense aroma, typical clean scents, enriched with fruit in alcohol, spices and a delicate note of vanilla on the finish. The taste is dry, with present but elegant tannins.
