Mamete PrevostiniSommarovina is a red wine signed Mamete Prevostini, which is born in Valtellina from Nebbiolo grapes. It stands out for its elegance and its beautiful garnet red accompanied by aromas of red, balsamic and spicy fruits. A wine of character, enriched by an aromatic finish of licorice and almond.
Sommarovina Mamete Prevostini is an elegant Valtellinese red wine based on Nebbiolo.
This Valtellina Superiore Sassella comes from the terraced vineyards of the Rhaetian Alps facing south, at about 400 meters above sea level, on soils composed mainly of flaked rock and located in the town of Triasso, in the heart of the Sassella DOCG area.
After the mid-October harvest, and a delicate destemming, the Nebbiolo grapes are left to ferment in stainless steel tanks at 25°C. After pressing, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in oak barrels where the refinement continues for about 10 months. Finally, the wine is aged in the bottle for another 10 months before being marketed.
Sassella Sommarovina Mamete Prevostini has an intense ruby red color tending towards garnet. The scent is fresh with hints of red fruits, hibiscus and rose supported by an intense balsamic and spicy sensation. In the mouth it is warm, persistent and elegant with a pleasant finish of licorice and almond, confirming it as a wine of character, austere and compact.
