Inferno La Cruus from the Mamete Prevostini winery is a 100% Nebbiolo Valtellinese red wine, aged for 12 months in oak barrels, with aromas of red fruits and spices.
The Inferno La Cruus, which in the local dialect means "The Cross", is a superior harmonious and full-bodied red wine from the Valtellinese Mamete Prevostini winery.
Made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes, which in these areas they call "Chiavennasca", the grapes come from the terraced vineyards of the Rhaetian Alps where thousands of kilometers of dry stone walls support plots of land. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 570 meters in the Montagna area in Valtellina, on sandy and silty soils and flaked granite rock with no limestone.
The Inferno La Cruus harvest is carried out in mid-October, entirely by hand with the maniacal attention that examines each bunch, eliminating any imperfection, dent or mould, in this way guaranteeing a final product of the highest quality.
The maceration on the skins lasts 15 days, which is followed by the malolactic fermentation, the maturation in oak barrels in which it spends 12 months and a further 10 months in the bottle where it concludes its refinement.
La Cruus Mamete Prevostini is an intense and elegant ruby red wine. The nose perceives intense aromas and fine aromas of red fruits, with mineral and spicy hints. On the palate it is intense, rich, harmonious and structured, enveloping the mouth with its elegant and structured character.
