Giacomo Podere la Villa is the wine dedicated to the man who was probably the greatest Italian winemaker, Giacomo Tachis, creator of many of the greatest Tuscan red wines.

It is a wine made only from Merlot grapes, carefully selected by Ilaria, owner of the Podere la Villa company, and daughter of Giacomo Tachis.

The vineyard is sheltered, close to a spring, in a sunny place flanked by a forest which gives these vines the right amount of humidity.

Giacomo Podere la Villa is a bright ruby red merlot that expresses all the Tuscan warmth and rusticity, which is partially tamed by a short passage in oak barrels. On the nose we find rhubarb, whey and mint. Fruit and spice also emerge with intensity on the palate which remains silky and enveloping.
