St. Magdalener  Josephus Mayr is a full-bodied and elegant wine made from old vines with great aging potential.

The variations that make it up are Schiava piccola, Schiava grossa, and Lagrein; the soils are porphyritic and gravelly of morainic origin and the vines are over 20 years old. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with a one week contact period on the skins; malolactic fermentation follows and a short aging in small and medium-sized oak barrels.

The St. Magdalener Josephus Mayr is a wine with an intense ruby red color that smells of almonds and ripe fruit with hints of violet. In the mouth it is full, warm, noble with soft tannins.
