Valtellina Superiore DOCG Inferno "La Cruus" 2021 75 cl Mamete Prevostini
Mamete PrevostiniInferno La Cruus by Mamete Prevostini is a 100% Nebbiolo red wine from Valtellina, aged for 12 months in oak barrels, with aromas of red fruits and spices.
The Valtellina Superiore Inferno La Cruus, which in the local dialect means "The Cross", is a harmonious and full-bodied superior red wine from the Valtellina Mamete Prevostini winery.
Made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes, which in these areas are called "Chiavennasca", the grapes come from the terraced vineyards of the Rhaetian Alps where thousands of kilometers of dry stone walls support patches of land. The vineyards are located at 570 meters above sea level in the Montagna area in Valtellina, on sandy and loamy soils, and flaked granite rock with no limestone.
The "La Cruus" Inferno harvest is carried out in mid-October, entirely by hand with obsessive attention that examines each bunch, eliminating any imperfections, dents or mould, thus guaranteeing a final product of the highest quality.
Maceration on the skins lasts 15 days, followed by malolactic fermentation, maturation in oak barrels in which it spends 12 months and a further 10 months in the bottle concluding its refinement.
Cruus Mamete Prevostini is an intense and elegant ruby red wine. On the nose you can perceive intense aromas and fine aromas of red fruits, with mineral and spicy hints. On the palate it is intense, rich, harmonious and structured, it envelops the mouth with its elegant and structured character.
Perfect to accompany typical Vantellina dishes, game and mature cheeses.
