"I Climat" Vie di Romans is a very special selection of 6 bottles of wine available only in this case and not sold individually.
This set was composed to present in the truest and most intimate way the link between wine and terroir, even more limited to the particularity of a micro environment, characterized by a homogeneous pedoclimatic unit.
The experiential path of "I Climat" started several years ago, with an in-depth study of all the pedological, climatic, biological and oenological variables of the different sites and took shape in production terms starting from the 2015 vintage.
All the bottles contained in the "I Climat" Vie di Romans case are pure Chardonnay, a variety that manages to combine in a significantly different way with the various pedoclimatic environments due to its particular genetic aptitude.
The six different climates come from sites identified within the two crus "Vie di Romans" and "Ciampagnis" and are marked with the name of the families who cultivated the various production sites in ancient times. In the past, properties were very parceled out and, unlike today, they were cultivated for generations by the same family or by the same property.
This first vintage of "I Climat" Vie di Romans is presented after 18 months of elevating on the yeasts and two years of refinement in the bottle.
A long maturation period to allow the wine to express itself with the true sensorial contents that a pedoclimatic unit is capable of manifesting. With its longevity it finds its balance, its stability and its expressive identity.
