Barolo "Lazzarito" 2018 75 cl Vietti
ViettiLazzarito is a single vineyard in the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba that gives life to the most austere and long-lived Barolos, grumpy in the early years but exciting over time.
The Nebbiolo vineyards that give life to this Barolo Lazzarito Vietti have an average age of 40 years and extend over approximately 2 hectares of property.
The harvest takes place manually at the end of September, followed by soft pressing and a long maceration which precedes the refinement in large oak barrels for 30 months and partly in barriques.
Vietti Barolo Lazzarito is a fascinating wine. A strong toasted and spicy component emerges on the nose, with notes of pepper, licorice and tobacco. The sip is robust, with angular tannins and a tense and vibrant acidity, it closes with a long sapid and mineral persistence.
