Toscana IGP 100% Sangiovese Soldera Case Basse 2018 75 cl
Soldera"Soldera Case Basse boasts a truly limited and exclusive production, the result of passionate work, aimed at creating a great wine through completely natural viticulture processes." Cit. Soldera
Soldera Case Basse wine is the only wine produced by the company and is an authentic enological treasure, a pearl that gives emotions to the lucky ones who can enjoy it.
Pure Sangiovese, born on the Montalcino hill and not labeled as Brunello by choice.
The 2018 vintage was rainy and with average temperatures during all phases of vegetative-productive development of the vine. A careful management of the vineyards accompanied by a rigorous selection of the grapes have made it possible to obtain a Sangiovese with high quality characteristics and a perfect degree of ripeness, essential for obtaining a production of the highest quality.
The harvest of the 2018 Soldera Case Basse vintage began on October 3rd. The bunches are picked by hand and placed in small crates to prevent them from being crushed. In the cellar, the meticulous selection of the best grapes continues based on size and condition, which must be perfect. Only berries that meet Soldera's high standards will make it into the fermentation vat.
The Sangiovese Soldera Case Basse ferments spontaneously in conical Slavonian oak vats with a volume of more than 100 hl.
Spontaneous fermentation conducted by native yeasts allows human intervention on natural processes to be reduced to a minimum and favors the sensory complexity of the wine.
The malolactic fermentation lasts 3 weeks, once the fermentation is complete, the wine is left to refine, kept for about 44 months, in large Slavonian oak barrels.
No chemical-physical pre-treatment, no clarification and/or filtration at the time of passage in the bottle: the Sangiovese Case Basse Soldera wine completes its maturation in the cellar for over 6 months before being marketed.
How to preserve the precious Soldera Case Basse IGP Tuscany wine? It is important to note that the Soldera company recommends keeping the bottle upright at a temperature of 12°-16°C, in a room that is at least 70% humid and well ventilated. Avoid sudden changes in temperature and direct sunlight.
To be served between 17° and 18°C, the ideal temperature to appreciate its aromatic and gustatory profile.
Soldera Case Basse is a Sangiovese wine that has everything a great wine must have: clean aromas, recognizable territory, great longevity and pleasant drinkability; definitely to be reserved for special occasions, in combination with important dishes or even tasted alone.
