Solaia 2011 1.5lt Antinori
AntinoriSolaia Antinori is a fine wine that is produced only in exceptional years.
It was born in the heart of classic Chianti, from the vineyard of the same name which is located on the best hill of Tenuta Tignanello and is made up of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Franc. Only the perfect grapes are selected. The malolactic fermentation took place in barriques. The refinement in new French oak barrels lasted 14 months, first each variety separated and then assembled.
Examining the climatic trend of the 2011 vintage, for Solaia it began with a cold, snowy and dry winter, followed by a mild spring which anticipated bud break by 10 days. The summer was favourable, with a mild climate and little rain, hot August and the temperature variations in September ensured perfect ripening of the grapes
Solaia 2011 Antinori has an intense ruby red color. On the nose you can perceive the warm notes that reflect the vintage, combined with a delicate and pleasant freshness. On the palate there are aromas of ripe red fruit, spices and floral notes. A wine that enters the mouth persuasively, rich and enveloping with tannins that are ready and soft.
This bottle is part of the Antinori reserve, it was put on the market and came to us directly from Tenuta Tignanello in 2023.
