Schioppettino is an ancient native Friulian vine that is harvested by Venica with a slight over-ripening of the grapes and aging is very long, 1 year in oak barrels and 5 years in bottle. It has an intense, almost purplish color; the aromas are also intense, very spicy with sweet notes of black cherry and cherry. In the mouth it is round and full-bodied, with a light tannin and an important acid vein, overall a very balanced wine.
