Urban Lagrein Riserva Cantina Tramin is an extraordinary interpretation of one of the oldest native red grape varieties of South Tyrol.
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand and placed in small containers that keep them intact. The grapes are then de-stemmed and fermented at a controlled temperature in oak barrels, where the malolactic fermentation also takes place. Aging takes place in barriques for 12 months, followed by subsequent maturation for about 2 months in large oak barrels. The refinement ends in the bottle after about a year.
Lagrein Riserva Urban Tramin is ruby red in color with intense purple hues. The aromas range from intense floral notes of violet to fruity hints of blueberry and black currant. The taste is decisive, with a typical marked presence of tannins, very well managed; in the finish, a few touches of bitter cocoa in which delicious berries prevail.
